Take em as a grain of salt. Most people on these sites are littered with trash and using false accounts, false images to draw people in, not lying about the age and lord knows what else. Also full of scammers who try to take advantage of innocent people. I'm not saying I can not find love in them, but just be careful and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably continuation. And if you meet someone you like, ask a lot of pictures and if there is fear or resist the request or not display any images, then run.
